2008年、 子供たちの将来に備えるために私たちに出来ることがもっとあるはずだという思いを胸に、メープルリーフインターナショナルスクールを設立しました。日本を担う次の世代には、質問を投げかけ、答えを見つけ出すことができるような、自律した学習者が求められます。彼らには、日本語や英語が効率よく使いこなせるだけでなく、世界の人々と繋がり、そして協働できる力が備わっている必要があります。

私たちのプログラムでは、生徒はつまらない課題を完成させることや、情報を単に繰り返し覚えることで学ぶのではありません。彼らは、与えられた情報を取り込み、疑問を持ち、そして他の人が知り得ないような答えを見つけ出します。彼らはこのような流れを、学ぶ過程の中で楽しみながら行うのです。

私たちが信じてやまないのは、人生の初期段階というのは人が将来この世界に対し何ができるか、その可能性の基盤になるということです。子ども達が本当に意味のあることを学んだ時、彼らは学ぶ過程を楽しむだけでなく、もっと学びたいという意欲を持つでしょう。子ども達は彼らを信じる人々に囲まれて過ごす時、我々が想像する以上の素晴らしい力を発揮するでしょう

私たちが目指すのは、子ども達一人一人の最高の力を引き出し、そして彼らの可能性に気づかせることです。メープルリーフグループが提供するプログラムは 成功を成し遂げる子供達の基礎となる教育であることを地域の皆様にご認識いただいておりますが、これは三重インターナショナルスクールでも引き継がれていくものです。私たちは日本における「学習」のイメージを考えようとしています。 我々の次の世代が世界を変えるその日のために、皆様と力を合わせ共に歩んでいけることを願います。

2008年三重県松阪市に「メープルリーフインターナショナルスクール」を開校し、校長就任。
2017年東海インターナショナルスクール協会 会長に就任
2019年より三重県津市に「三重インターナショナルスクール」を開校の後、学園長として着任。

In 2008 I founded Maple Leaf International School with the belief that we could do more to help our students prepare for the future. We believe that the next generation of Japan requires people who are independent learners who are able to ask questions and find answers. They need to be equipped with the skills to not only communicate effectively in Japanese and English, but also the ability to connect and collaborate with others around the world.

In our program, our students do not learn through completing tedious tasks or simply repeating the information taught to them. Our students take the information given to them and strive to ask questions and find out the answers that others do not know. They do this, all while enjoying the process of learning.

We believe that the early years of a person’s life are the base of the potential that they can offer the world. We see that when children study things that are meaningful to them, they not only enjoy the learning process, but they are motivated to learn more. We see that the when they are surrounded by a community that believes in them, that they excell beyond what anyone could imagine.

Our goal is to bring out the very best in every child and show them their potential. The Maple Leaf Group programs have a reputation of helping build the foundation for successful children and we will continue that tradition with Mie International School. We are changing Japan’s perspective of the learning experience and we hope that you will join us helping the next generation change the world.
